COMUN: This is not exactly a botanical variety as such, but rather a mix of several, characterised by its good flavour and absence of bitterness. This is really the most important variety commercially. A distinction is made between Selected Comun Almonds, which have undergone a rigorous selection process and are usually sold according to commercial sizes, and the Propietary Comun Almonds (non - selected), which are normaly used in industrial processes (Laminas, flours, ground...). |
